Household Collection

Free food-waste collection every week, straight from your doorstep!

Why Recycle Your Food Waste?

  • When you dispose of your food-waste into your general waste, it ends up in either landfill or incineration, which both cause great damage to the environment. Compost-It reduces this environmental impact through recycling your food-waste, empowering local growers and improving our soil!

  • General waste bins can really start to smell when there’s food in there. If you separate your food-waste from your other waste, this isolates decaying organic matter. In short, your general waste will no longer smell so bad, and potential pests and rodents will be kept away. Win-win!

  • Many of our local areas suffer from infrequent/missed bin collection. Prevent your outside bins from overflowing by separating your food-waste and Composting It - and no longer worry about bin bags piling up and attracting flies and pests!

How Does It Work?

  • Sign-up to our service using our registration form

  • If you are in one of our serviced areas, we will drop off a Compost-It caddy by your house

  • Put your food-waste into your caddy during the week. We will give you a clear guide on what can and can’t go into your caddy!

  • When it comes to your collection day, just leave your caddy on your doorstep!

  • Your local Compost-It collector will come and collect the food-waste and take it for composting!
